I find strength in you. #2
He stormed out without his coffee cursing thinking how dumb that move was, trying to breathe normally again. 'Excuse mee, the guy with the purple tie, mister.' he looked back knowing who she was. ' I think you forgot to take your coffee and i thought you needed it to calm the hell down.' She said as she laughed at how confused he looked.
He sighed and thanked her. And for a second he wanted to spend a little more time with her so he went for it without thinking about it. He spilled his coffee on her after he made sure it wasn't that hot. She couldn't say a thing cause she was a pacificator in her own bubble. 'Shit. Shit. Shit. I'm so sorry i didn't mean to. Let me buy you a shirt and pay for this one to get cleaned. I'm really sorry.' 'No i don't want to trouble you, it's not a big deal really.' He insisted, she agreed and at that moment he felt like he was the luckiest guy ever, a really genuinely happy one. They rode his car and he went to the furthest shop possible regardless of her pointing at every store they drive by, forgetting he had an interview. He talked to her and they chatted for a while but she couldn't really open up to him. They were just small talks, it started to frustrate him. 'So how often do you go for coffee? Seems like you're popular there' he asked wanting to know a little more about her whereabouts. 'It's my favorite coffee shop here.' She said trying to be vague. After they were done he insisted on dropping her off back to where they were but she said she had some things to do first in this part of town.
Same day around midnight:
He laid in bed staring at the ceiling not able to sleep. Wondering about what she was doing right now. Picturing her face. Playing her laugh over and over in his head. Trying to figure out a way to 'accidentally' bump into her. She reminded him of his sister, so innocent. Tomorrow, tomorrow will be it.
He got up the next day acting just like a girl who's going to see her crush for the first time. He had butterflies in his stomach, the good kind. He got out every outfit he ever owned on his bed choosing the right one. He took a shower and sprayed on his favorite perfume and wore his lucky socks. He knew where he was heading and there was nothing that could stop him. He opened the door and looked at every face, trying to find the one he couldn't get out of his head since yesterday. She wasn't there, he asked about her but no one seemed to know what he was talking about. He panicked and ran out to his car, he started shaking. Then out of nowhere he saw her walking across the street. He got out of his car and acted as if he just got here. 'Hey there stranger.' she said as a smile appeared on his face, 'she remembers' he thought. 'Ummmm, hey there.' She smiled and he noticed her dimples, she wasn't wearing her glasses today. He noticed the cat that she was carrying, he was a cat person. 'I notice you're staring at this little cute thing. 'It just got hit by a car and I'm taking it to the vet, wanna tag along?' He said he'll just wait for her here and have a cup of coffee. She left and he called his mom telling her all about this perfect girl he met and how she made his heart skip a beat so his mom asked him to bring her along with him tonight and he said he'd see. She was back and he got her coffee, a decaf latte with a pump of a caramel. They spent all day talking not minding the time and when it was 10 he told her about his mom. 'She sounds sweet, maybe we could swing by right now for a drink.' he drove her there because apparently she doesn't own one. He knocked the door and his mom opened the door with the biggest smile on her face knowing it was her little boy. 'This is my mom, mom this is the girl i told you about.' His mom started crying her lungs out. He started calming her down asking her what was wrong. 'Call the doctor please.' She said as she finally caught her breath. He was diagnosed with schizophrenia when he was 19 due to the trauma caused by his sister's death. He was a socially awkward guy, who thought about suicide a lot but when he met her he thought it was meant to be, he thought she was going to fix him. He ran to the kitchen looking for a sharp object but his doctor prevented it. He was hospitalized a few days later and never got to see the view of a street as soon as he got back home. He was on lock down. Forever.
