She wanted to spend his birthday with him ‘as friends’ and he would rather go out because his friends got him a cake and he wanted to savor every last moment with them before graduation. She debated on wether she should wish him a happy birthday or not. She did. Not too cheesy not too formal she just sent a boring normal ‘happy birthday may your wishes come true’. And that was when they realized no stupid fight can distance them. She started opening up to him telling him her name and all about her family and friends.
